Kristi Gillam has joined the Building Industry Association of Clark County as its membership director. Gillam will oversee all new and existing member accounts, membership tracking, networking and orientation Events Ericka Carlsen has been hired as special events director for the Building Industry Association of Clark County. She will organize and supervise all events including the annual Clark County Parade of Homes and Reecececmodeled Homes Tour.
Nelson Holmberg has joined the Port of Vancouver’s public affairs team as its communications manager. Holmberg has 18 years experience in media and public relations. Kim Maloney has been named the director of finance for the Port of Camas-Washougal. She will oversee planning and implementing port financial strategies and short and long-range planning.
Kim Capeloto has been promoted to president and chief operating officer of Bank of Clark County. Capeloto contributed to the growth of bank assets to $345 million. Bob Whareham has been promoted to community bank president for Wells Fargo. Whareham will manage nine branches in Clark County plus small business and membership banking programs in Clark County and Oregon.
Richard Michalek has been promoted to senior vice president and business and professional banking manager for Riverview Community Bank. Randall Ellis has been hired as director of member services for Lacamas Community Credit Union.
Ginger Schmidt has been appointed vice president and branch manager of the Hazel Dell office for Riverview Community Bank. Schmidt will be responsible for all bank retail operations in the Hazel Dell area. Gary LaVenture has joined Cascade Heart as administrator and chief executive officer. Cascade Heart is a comprehensive cardiology physician practice with two Vancouver locations.
Dale Lang Clark County businessman Dale Lang has made a $200,000 bequest to the Clark County Skills Center Foundation Endowment Fund. Lang, founder and co-owner of Lang Brother Enterprises, has been instrumental in the development of the center’s construction technology program for 24 years. The center provides technical and professional training programs that prepare Clark County high school and college students for the workforce. Alison Kannisto RN has been hired as the new director of nursing at Vancouver Health and Rehabilitation Center. The center is a 98-bed skilled nursing center providing short-term sub-acute nursing and rehabilitation services and long-term nursing care.


Andrew McCabe has been hired as marketing manager for Hanson Construction & Restoration, Vancouver. McCabe will oversee development of new markets focusing on insurance-related disaster recovery. The company has been a remodel and mitigation contractor for more than 25 years.
